3 Cute Summer Nail Designs I’m Obsessed With β˜€οΈπŸ’…

If you’re looking for summer nail inspiration…

If you want to start July on the right foot (literally!), this post is for you.

I recently got my nails done and wanted to share a few of my favorite summer nail designs. Every photo in this post is of my actual nails, so these are nail designs I’ve personally worn and loved.

If you’re trying to decide what to get at your next nail appointment, save this post for later! All of these nail designs are simple, cute, and easy to recreate without being too over-the-top.

Nail Design #1: French Tips with Polka Dots

Why I chose it

I’ve been seeing polka dots everywhere lately, so I wanted to add a little twist to a classic French manicure.

Details

  • Baby pink base
  • White French tips
  • White polka dots
  • Short natural nails

My thoughts

I absolutely love how this design turned out. It’s feminine, classy, and still playful.

Because the design is pretty minimal, it goes with almost any outfit. I especially think it looks adorable with pink tops or other soft summer colors.

If you’re someone who likes cute nails without doing anything too bold, I highly recommend trying this one.

Nail Design #2: Soft Butter Yellow Nails

Why I chose it

Sometimes simple is best.

This time I wanted to try a pale yellow instead of adding nail art.

Details

  • Pale yellow polish
  • Short natural nails
  • Solid color

My thoughts

I honestly think pale yellow is such an underrated nail color.

It stands out just enough without being overwhelming, and it’s perfect for summer. I especially love how it looks with yellow dresses or light-colored outfits.

If yellow is your color, definitely give this one a try. You could even add French tips if you want something a little more detailed.

Nail Design #3: Burgundy Flower Nails (My Favorite!)

Why I chose it

This might honestly be my favorite nail design I’ve done so far.

I originally planned on getting another polka dot design, but at the last minute I decided to try something different.

The color

The base color is such a unique burgundy-maroon shade.

Indoors it almost looks chocolate brown, but once you’re outside in the sunlight, it shifts into a beautiful deep red.

I wasn’t sure how I felt about it at first because I originally wanted a darker red, but it’s really grown on me.

The flower details

Instead of polka dots, I added simple white flowers on just my index and ring fingers.

I didn’t want flowers on every nail because I thought it would be too much, so keeping it minimal made the design feel much more elegant.

My nail artist even added tiny gold centers to each flower, and honestly that little detail made such a huge difference.

It really pulled the whole design together.

My thoughts

I love how versatile this manicure is.

The brown tones pair beautifully with neutral outfits, while the red undertones make it feel rich and elegant in the sunlight.

If brown is one of your favorite colors, I can’t recommend this design enough.

Which One Is My Favorite?

If I had to rank them:

πŸ₯ˆ French Tips with Polka Dots

πŸ₯‰ Butter Yellow Nails

Although honestly…I would wear all three again (ΛΆ>⩊<ΛΆ)
